Chandy offers IT-based industry 2-July-2005

PERINTHALMANNA: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has offered to set up an information technology(IT)-based industry here within a year. His offer came at a function organised to felicitate former Education Minister Nalakath Soopy on his completing 25 years as an MLA here on Friday evening. Mr. Chandy inaugurated the celebrations that will last for a year. The period will be observed as the Development Year for Perinthalmanna. Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal of Panakkad, district president of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), presided over the function. Source :The Hindu
